Naturally, it did not take the Newman matriarch very long to connect the dots. Nikki quickly realized this massive corporate gift was Victor’s way of thanking Lily for playing along with his fake kidnapping plot to help him reclaim Newman Enterprises.

In Nikki’s eyes, this backroom arrangement is entirely unacceptable. She worked incredibly hard to earn her position as CEO of Chancellor. Consequently, she believes Lily stole a job that rightfully belonged to her.

On June 17, Nikki confronts Lily, putting her on the hot seat with a barrage of tough questions. However, if Nikki thinks Lily is going to sit back and take the third degree, she is dead wrong. Lily plans to fiercely push back. She will gladly remind Nikki that the Newmans stole Chancellor from her family in the first place.

Jack Refuses to Wait Around and Takes Matters Into His Own Hands

While corporate warfare rages at the office, Jack Abbott deals with a far more terrifying crisis. He is growing increasingly concerned about Diane’s sudden disappearance. His growing suspicions point directly toward a familiar, unstable face: Patty Williams.

Patty is desperately trying to spin a narrative that Diane suffered a massive psychological breakdown. She claims professionals are quietly handling Diane’s psychiatric care somewhere far away from Genoa City. Patty hopes that keeping Diane out of sight will eventually mean she is out of mind for the Abbott family.

But she completely underestimates Jack. He refuses to sit on the sidelines or accept Patty’s vague reassurances. Strongly sensing that his wife is being held against her will, Jack decides to take complete control of the situation. He takes matters into his own hands and launches his own private investigation to bring Diane home safely. Little does he know, Diane is currently locked in a room, trying to see through the lies of Patty’s shady partner in crime, Dr. Laurence Markham.
