Reagan Park Fills In for Cosette Abinante
According to official updates from Soap Opera Digest, young actress Reagan Park will step into Port Charles for a single episode. She is filling in for the show’s regular young performer, Cosette Abinante, who was simply unavailable for filming on that specific production day.
Because daytime television moves at such a remarkably fast pace, production teams frequently utilize temporary recasts to keep crucial family storylines moving forward without hitting the brakes. Abinante has beautifully portrayed Scout—the daughter of Drew Cain and the late Sam McCall since 2022. While Park’s upcoming appearance is strictly temporary, it actually marks the beginning of a much larger era of transition for the character.
A Permanent Teen Recast Arrives This July
Following Park’s quick pop-in on Wednesday, the character of Scout Cain will undergo a permanent, full-time recast. Producers are officially aging the character up into a teenager via Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome (SORAS).
Daytime newcomer Kayden Brenna Tokarski has signed on to take over the role permanently. She is scheduled to make her highly anticipated Port Charles debut later this July. Tokarski joins the cast at an incredibly high-stakes time for the character. Currently, Scout’s father, Drew, is stuck in a locked-in state following a medical crisis engineered by her stepmother, Willow.

Represented by Clear Talent Group’s Young People division in California, she has built up an extensive resume through professional theater, short films, music videos, and commercial projects.

On the live stage, Park has showcased her musical talents in local productions of Into the Woods, The Music Man, Shrek, and Seussical Jr.
