EJ Approaches Theo with a Corporate Offer
DiMera Enterprises faces a major leadership problem. Right now, Johnny DiMera has more important things on his mind than running a company. Between Chanel’s breast cancer diagnosis, their growing family, and responsibilities at home, Johnny has enough on his plate. When Johnny opens up to EJ about his struggles, his father quickly realizes changes must happen.
Rather than push Johnny to keep juggling it all, EJ searches for someone to fill the gap. EJ approaches Theo Carver with an interesting proposition, asking him to step in as Johnny’s second-in-command at DiMera Enterprises. Theo recently walked away from the company because he wanted no part of it, leaving questions about whether he will actually return. Regardless, EJ firmly believes Theo is the right person for the job.
Cat Tells Rafe Not to Worry
Elsewhere, Cat remains entirely confident that she has everything under control. She continues working undercover while serving as EJ’s assistant, which is far from the easiest assignment in Salem.
Rafe Hernandez understands the immense risks of this situation. If EJ ever discovers the truth, everything could fall apart in an instant. Rafe worries about Cat getting too close for comfort, but Cat is not nearly as concerned. She assures Rafe that she can handle EJ and stay entirely focused on her mission.
Johnny Urges Chanel to Reconsider
Meanwhile, Johnny has an incredibly important conversation with Chanel. After a difficult experience with her oncologist, Chanel made a sudden decision to halt her chemotherapy. She felt uncomfortable with the doctor’s approach and refused to continue treatment under those circumstances.
Understandably, Johnny is deeply concerned. He knows how serious Chanel’s diagnosis is and does not want her walking away from treatment altogether. While he respects her feelings, he wants her to look at other options. Johnny spends the episode encouraging Chanel to rethink her choice and consider her health’s next steps.
Abe Leans on Marlena
Elsewhere in Salem, spoilers tease that Abe Carver turns to Marlena Evans for support. His world turned completely upside down ever since Lexie returned from the dead, and he is still trying to process the shocking reality. Marlena has helped many Salem residents through difficult times over the years, and now Abe is the one who desperately needs a listening ear.
